AS FAST AS WORDS COULD FLY: Segregation

Racial segregation is the separation of people into racial or ethnic groups in society. This is a practice that has been executed since the beginning of time. Racial segregation has appeared in all parts of the world. In some countries, there has been occasional racial discrimination but not legal segregation. The civil rights movement was initiated in the 1950s and 1960's mainly because the African American citizens struggled to get their justice and equality.

Mexico is a country with a very rich culture, making each citizen a proud reflection of it. It's very obvious the segregation in our country just by looking at our map we can see the division of classes. Most cities that have been urbanized and the adaptation of new international cultures, due to this we can see the separation between the population. Mexico City, the capital of our country, is one of the most diverse cities, we can see areas in which the social comparison of economic classes is pretty obvious. In the South part of the country states like Guerrero, Oaxaca, and Chiapas have been left out of many developments that the government has done unlike the states located in the North and Center.

This still happens because it has been practiced since many years ago. Although as history advanced the idea of racial superiority has decreased there are still people that believe this is an ideology.

We concluded that despite the years and the struggles that this movement has gone through against racial segregation, it is still very noticeable today. So we agree that somebody has to change and that somebody has to be the society in general. Because it doesn’t affect a certain group but it also affects all of us. What we came up with to help this problem, not only in Mexico but throughout the world, is to talk about the issue, make it noticed and explain why it is not right and why we need to stop doing it. Talk about why this is unfair and we (all) need this to stop, and not only speak about it in our homes but also schools. So with this, we can be educated, and change the future generations.

random act of kindness

A random act of kindness it is an altruistic action that any person or group of people can do and as consequence comes to benefit society and the environment. By altruist I mean having the desire or pleasure to do good or help others without receiving somethings in return.
Our random act of kindness is tried to spread post its throughout the school that contained motivational captions to increase the self-esteem of others or also the post its said some compliments. My experience was very nice because many people were at first confused because they aren’t used to be given that type of messages but then they were very grateful to have received those words. Also I watch my friend’s reactions and they were so happy to receive compliments because is something that they don’t hear it daily.
The improve or change I would like to make is to say 10 or more compliments per day. Also and the most important work on increasing myself love day by day. I am going to make some routines and mantras to used it in my daily life.

I’m a very strange but cool person. When my friends describe me they use the words loyal, friendly, caring, very silly, intelligent, responsible, humble, good listener, and respectful. And I consider myself all that things.
I like a lot music, dance, movies, art, to draw, and to write. All the things that are involve in art are my thing. I also like to help other people, like volunteer and use my voice fot justice. The most stranger thing I like is when a fall asleep and dream and waking up with my dream on my mind, sometimes it makes my total crazy but I love it. I don’t like math, numbers, algebra, beacuase it brings me bad memories.
I really don’t know what I’m going to study or which universities I like or have on mind. But the thing that I have 100% sure that I’m going to do when I finish high school is travel around the world one year as volunteer either helping children or showing the word of god.
